Connect a WhatsApp Business number
WebinarRun connects to the official WhatsApp Business Platform through Meta’s Embedded Signup. Once connected, you send and receive messages from the shared inbox.
Before you start
- A Facebook account that can manage your business in Meta
- A phone number that is not already active in another WhatsApp Business API provider
- A free WhatsApp number slot: 1 on the trial and Starter, 3 on Growth, 10 on Scale
Open the Account settings
Go to WhatsApp in the top menu, open the Settings tab, then Account.
Start Embedded Signup
Under Connect your WhatsApp number, click Connect WhatsApp. A Meta window opens.
Finish the Meta steps
In the Meta window, choose or create your business, add your WhatsApp Business account and verify the phone number with the code Meta sends. Close the window when Meta confirms.
Check the number
The number appears under Your WhatsApp numbers. Messages should show Active. Use Set default, Rename or Remove on the row as needed.
Choose the AI agent mode
In the AI agent column, set Off, Suggest or Auto for this number. You can change it at any time.
Good to know
- To connect a second number, click Connect another number in the same place.
- Meta bills its WhatsApp message fees to you directly.
- Remove keeps the inbox, flows and campaigns, so reconnecting the same number restores them.
